1. I fear rejection.

    I want attention.

  2. I could very easily sit here and say I still think about the one that got away.
But the truth of the matter is that she didn’t get away.
    She walked away.
And I’m the guy she walked away from.

Jumping back 5 decades in music has yielded some interesting results. I’ve learned a few things about my own preferences, and I think I have better appreciation for “oldies”. Odd to think my parents were alive to hear these albums when they first came out (albeit they were too young to really be influenced by mid-fifties pop culture). I’ve never really sat down to listen to any of Frank Sinatra’s music until now, and it’s actually pretty good. Ol’ Frankie was quite the romantic.

On the other hand, I can not se how Thelonious Monk made it onto this list… complete rubbish according to my taste in music. And my taste in music doesn’t revolve around genre, but more quality and talent. Or at least I try to nudge it that way as much as possible.

I’ll pull up the next 10 and try to have a review and list of those out soon. I have to admit, the next set looks to be more promising overall.

  6. I wake up every morning, and go to sleep every night, thinking about whether or not she would be proud of me. Proud of what I’ve done with my life. If she were here today, would she still see the good in me. Or is it already too late to save that. Does she haunt my dreams to keep me safe, or to remind me of the life I’m really living.
